Growers should refer to Monsanto’s Technology Use Guide for information on crop stewardship regarding the potential movement of pollen to neighboring crops. Know Before You Grow® is a service mark of National Corn Growers Association. For more information call 1-866-SELL CORN.

IMPORTANT: The following information is current as of (08/27/08): YieldGard Plus and YieldGard Rootworm with Roundup Ready Corn 2 are grandfathered for import and use in processed feed in the E.U. YieldGard Plus with Roundup Ready Corn 2, YieldGard VT Rootworm/RR2, and YieldGard VT Triple are neither approved nor grandfathered and there is zero tolerance for these traits in processed feed imported in the E.U. Growers of all products bearing the Market Choices mark must talk to their grain handler to confirm the handler’s buying position for grain from these products. It is a violation of national and international law to move material containing biotech traits across boundaries into nations where import is not permitted.

Roundup Rewards® applies only to Roundup® branded and other agricultural herbicides specified by Monsanto. Program details referenced in this publication are subject to change and should be verified by checking with your local Monsanto dealer or representative.

B.t. products are not yet registered in all states. Check with your seed representative for the registration status in your state.

Always Read and Follow Pesticide Label Directions. Roundup Ready® crops contain genes that confer tolerance to glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup® agricultural herbicides. Roundup® agricultural herbicides will kill crops that are not tolerant to glyphosate. Roundup Ready® Corn 2 contains in-plant tolerance to Roundup® brand herbicides, enabling growers to spray Roundup® brands over the top, from planting through the V8 stage or 30-inch corn height, with excellent crop safety and no yield reduction. Compared to popular conventional corn programs, the Roundup Ready® Corn 2 system costs less, while allowing hybrids to reach their maximum yield potential. While the U.S. regulatory agencies have given full approval to Roundup Ready® Corn 2 for commerce in the U.S. for marketing and consumption as food, food ingredients and feed for livestock, certain regulatory approvals are pending in certain export markets. For more information on these approvals, or for assistance in locating domestic grain outlets, see the American Seed Trade Association web site (www.amseed.org) or contact Monsanto directly at 800-768-6387.

Stacked trait hybrids such as YieldGard® Corn Borer or YieldGard® Rootworm or YieldGard® Plus with Roundup Ready® Corn 2 offer growers all the benefits of both traits combined in one crop. These hybrids exhibit the same insect protection qualities as well as Roundup Ready Corn 2 tolerance to over-thetop applications of Roundup agricultural herbicides. Managing these stacked traits requires a grower to follow the recommended management practices associated with corn containing each individual trait. Growers of these stacked trait hybrids must follow the same guidelines for establishing a refuge. Growers should refer to Monsanto’s Technology Use Guide for information on crop stewardship and regarding the potential movement of pollen to neighboring crops.

Agrisure® GT/CB/LL trait stack help growers discover maximum yield performance while providing the flexibility to choose management practices that fit your needs. Agrisure GT/CB/LL hybrids protect against European corn borer and allow in-season applications of both glyphosate and glufosinate (LIBERTY®) herbicides.

YieldGard VT Triple® insect-protected corn combines the insect protection spectrum of YieldGard VT Rootworm/RR2 and YieldGard Corn Borer technologies and provides effective and consistent control of corn borer and rootworm throughout the larval feeding period.

Roundup Ready® Soybeans contain in-plant tolerance to Roundup® brand herbicides, enabling growers to spray labeled brands for Roundup® over the top, from emergence throughout flowering, for superior weed control, excellent crop safety and maximum yield potential. Since they were first introduced several years ago, Roundup Ready® soybeans have shown consistent and reliable performance. Outstanding yields and reduced input costs mean that Roundup Ready® soybeans, used in a Roundup Ready® system, offer growers more profit opportunities than conventional soybeans.

Poncho® 250 Seed-Applied Insecticide delivers the early season protection your crops need against cutworms, wireworms, white grubs, grape colaspis, and many other secondary pests. More effective control due to contact and systematic activity. Increased plant efficiency with Poncho® 250 saves time and labor during the busy planting season. There are no liquid insecticide systems to mix and load, and no insecticide hoppers to fill. IMPORTANT REMINDER - When planting Poncho® treated seed, the use of graphite in finger pick-up units and talc in air planters is highly recommended. Poncho® 1250 Seed-Applied Insecticide delivers corn rootworm control comparable to traditional soil insecticides. An excellent choice for refuge areas in conjunction with use of rootworm resistant corn hybrids. Excellent worker and environmental safety profile. Trilex™ contains the active ingredient trifloxystrobin and provides further improvement in control of Pythium spp. Pythium is typically the most damaging pathogen in relation to stand reduction. Trilex™ also has good activity against Rhizoctonia and many seed borne pathogens.

A CruiserMaxx™ Beans brand product is an insecticide and fungicide seed treatment combination that is a commercially applied combination of two separately registered products, Cruiser seed treatment insecticide and ApronMaxx® seed treatment fungicide, that provides breakthrough insect protection and proven disease protection to help increase soybean yields and crops profitability. CruiserMaxx™ protects soybean seeds and seedlings against yieldthreatening seed- and foliar-feeding insects, including soybean aphid, bean leaf beetle, seed corn maggot and wireworm. In addition, CruiserMaxx™ provides excellent protection against all major seed- and soil-borne disease pathogens, including Pythium, early-season Phytophthora, Rhizoctonia, Fusarium, seed-borne Sclerotinia, seed-borne Phomopsis and general seed rots.
